Bullying appears to be a problem in schools but is it also an issue in the workplace? The California legislature seems to think so. A new provision will be added to Government Code §12950.1 to require “prevention of abusive conduct” training. This training will be part of the sexual harassment training and education for supervisory employees, required by employers with 50 or more employees, once every two years.

The new law goes into effect on January 1, 2015.
