This coming Sunday, November 3rd, is time to “fall back” and turn your clocks back one hour. The Uniform Time Act of 1966 (15 U.S. 260), was enacted by Congress to promote the adoption and observance of uniform time within the standard time zones prescribed by sections 261 to 264 of this title, as modified by section 265 of this title. The Act authorizes and directs the Secretary of Transportation to foster and promote widespread and uniform adoption and observance of the same standard of time within and throughout each such standard time zone.
Accordingly, 15 USCA section 260a establishes that Daylight Savings Time officially ends at 2 o’clock antemeridian (a.m.) on the first Sunday of November. Sunday, November 3rd, is the first Sunday of November.
