Know Your Library Resources – Contractor’s License Law

By Kelly on March 10, 2017//Leave a comment

Dealing with construction contractors can be complex and difficult as you try to get your project completed on-time with competent workmanship. The Law Library has several resources that can assist you in protecting your rights. We recently received a new edition of a key title in this area, Contractor’s License Law and Reference Book.

Contractor’s License Law covers the California laws and regulations that govern contractors and their business operations. The book includes narrative chapters detailing how a contractor is licensed. An important section deals with what is required by law to be included in construction or home improvement contracts. Additionally, there are sections detailing how consumers can enforce their rights through the complaint procedure available through the California Contractors State License Board.

This book is available in print at our Vista location and can be accessed from anywhere through the Library’s electronic catalog.
