2017 is the Year of Border Law

By Kelly on January 26, 2017//Leave a comment

Our close proximity to the Mexico border means San Diego faces unique legal issues. For 2017, we will focus on Border Law and have selected four major topics to spotlight quarterly: immigration, business/trade, human trafficking, and environmental issues.

We will highlight these issues with MCLE programs featuring experts in the field, articles on resources available at the library and in the community, and news on developments in this evolving area of the law. Our goal is to provide information and resources to the community on these important issues. All events and news will be announced via this newsletter and on our website. We hope you join us at one of our upcoming events.

Each year we give special focus to an area of law intrinsic to the fabric of San Diego county’s culture, history, and modern day life. We have identified four main topics: Border Law, Military Law, Tribal Law, and Water Law. These topics are rotated annually for special prominence in our educational and professional programming.
